Treatment
Acne
Acne is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that occurs when hair follicles become blocked by a excess oil and dead skin cells. This process can lead to blackheads, whiteheads, spots and areas of inflammation, which in some cases may leave marks and scars.
Although acne is more common during adolescence, it can persist into adulthood or develop later in life. Appropriate assessment and treatment make it possible to evaluate the specific characteristics and needs of each person's skin, identify factors that may contribute to acne and establish a personalised approach.
The aim of treatment is to control inflammation, reduce active lesions, progressively improve the skin's texture and appearance, and help prevent the development of new blemishes, marks and scars.
Here are some examples of how my patients' skin has evolved throughout the treatment process, highlighting the improvements achieved through a personalized approach.
